The PSENvip is a camera-based protection system for press brakes. It
consists of a transmitter and receiver, which are fixed to the moving part
of the press brake, the upper die. The detection zone between the trans-
mitter and receiver monitors the immediate danger zone below the mov-
ing upper tool.
The detection zone moves with the upper die, providing mobile safe-
guarding of the danger zone. If an object encroaches into the detection
zone, both output signal switching devices (OSSD1, OSSD2) on the
PSENvip will switch to the OFF-state. The safety system will use these
signals to initiate stopping of the press stroke.
